Video editing
Where to find the documents.. And what to do with them?!
Sony charge you $600 for software that lags your computer
When you are using any type of video editing software. Weather it's Windows Movie Maker to Sony Vegas Pro, they usually have very similar ways of importing files.
**If you are not sure how to use, or don't have any type of Editing Program, YouTube and the internet have some great tutorials and suggestions. I'm only here to tell you the basics. ** The BEST free Editing software is probably going to be WMM (Windows Movie Maker). If you have windows, then I'm sure it is already downloaded onto your system, if it is not, then it is free and safe to download off the official Microsoft website. I'm not sure about Macs, but I'm sure there are other free programs out there. Sony Vegas Pro is one of THE best ones. You can have a free trial with it, but time flies, so you'll end up having to buy it later for around $600. Also, it slows down your computer, so you'll need a pretty good and fast OS for it to function properly. But overall I'd suggest WMM.

Videos will be stored under "Recorded videos" under the electronic arts folder. Images captured will be stored under "screenshots" folder.
**The more files you save under these folders will cause a lag depending on your system** It is advised that you keep recording quality settings low as possible, as a simple twenty second video can create a file as big as 2 GB! Make sure sound capture is switched off ~ and the User I Interface Capture is switched off if you are shooting footage for Machinima creation. A Hyper Cam is advised for shooting game- play, Fraps is a good and free example. It also takes up less storage. I It is advised that you save files onto a RELIABLE memory stick [not those cheap forgery ones you can get]. It does not have to be very high in space, it can just be 4 GB. Before saving any type of files make sure that there is not any type of Password Reset Disk or System Backup. It will make these ineffective and may corrupt files. You should also make a file under your User Account named "Machinima" or anything relevant so you know what it is, and is easy to find again, when using any form of an Editing Suite. |
